Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Nampa, Idaho. This position involves providing high-quality maternal and neonatal care within a dedicated LDRP unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The shift schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends as needed and the first to float.

Job Details:

• Location: Nampa, Idaho

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), weekends as needed, first to float
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 48 hours
• Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), STABLE; required before start date
• Required Qualifications:
  • Must have 3 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience
  • Must have mother-baby experience, preferably at least 1 year
  • Ability to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, circulate cesarean sections, and provide postpartum couplet care
  • Experience with magnesium protocols
  • License to submit required upon application
• Additional Information:
  • Travelers are expected to extend and return for assignments
  • Strict no fingernail lacquer policy (no acrylic or gel nails) due to NICU embedded within the unit
  • Travel duos will need 2 cars, as they may be at different sites or floating during shifts
  • Scrubs may vary across sites, with this being the only LDRP site
  • No set holiday or call requirements for travel RNs; holiday work may occur if needed during the contract
  • Candidates permanent addresses must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for profile review; submitted addresses will be verified accordingly
  • The unit is equipped with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) systems with no tele techs on site; RNs are required to read their own strips
  • A team of OB hospitalists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners are available 24/7; anesthesia is available around the clock
  • Orientation consists of 4 shifts on the unit, including training in cesarean, labor, and postpartum care
