Forklift Mechanic

Position We are seeking a skilled and reliable Propane Mechanic to join our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing propane-powered forklifts (Toyota preferred) and reach trucks. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring all material handling equipment is in optimal condition to support daily operations safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair propane-powered forklifts (Toyota) and Crown reach trucks
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment hand tools
• Troubleshoot malfunctions using diagnostic equipment

Maintain accurate records of Inspect equipment for safety and performance issues, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime Immediately report major or recurring issues. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly Ability to carry heavy objects, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure equipment needs are met. Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanic working on propane forklifts and reach trucks (Toyota experience is a plus). Strong knowledge of propane fuel systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic engine repair. Ability to work in an organized and independent manner. Solid understanding of forklift parts and general operation. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
