Transplant Surgeon

Job Description The AdventHealth Transplant Institute in Orlando, Florida, is recruiting a Board Certified/Board Eligible, ASTS fellowship-trained Multi-Organ Abdominal Transplant Surgeon to join its established and expanding transplant program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of post-fellowship clinical experience, strong technical proficiency in multi-organ transplantation, and a commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and programmatic growth. Qualifications MD or DO degree Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery Completion of an ASTS-accredited Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship Eligibility for Florida medical licensure Job Requirements Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will participate in: Adult kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation Deceased donor procurement and organ recovery Machine perfusion and organ preservation management Inpatient and outpatient pre- and post-transplant patient care Participation in quality, regulatory, and program development initiatives Additional expertise in the following areas is desirable but not required: Living donor kidney and/or liver procurement and donor management Minimally invasive or robotic surgical techniques Pediatric transplant experience Clinical research and academic collaboration Program Overview The AdventHealth Transplant Institute currently performs annually: 100+ adult and pediatric liver transplants 150+ adult and pediatric kidney transplants 15+ pancreas transplants The surgical team includes five transplant surgeons supported by a fully integrated multidisciplinary team of transplant nephrologists, hepatologists, intensivists, oncologists, pathologists, and advanced practice providers. The program maintains a strong referral base and continues to demonstrate sustained growth across all organ systems.
