Job Summary: The Dept. of Urology, BWH is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join their team who will work very independently under minimal supervision to enroll eligible patients in clinical research protocols and manage all aspects of data collection and submission for multiple cancer studies. The coordinator will be the liaison between the clinical team, sponsor, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure appropriate communication and reporting. The position involves a combination of data abstraction and entry, regulatory management, and patient coordination, with involvement in Quality Control and Training & Development and potential input into assessment of departmental procedures. Responsibilities Enroll eligible patients in clinical research protocols and manage data collection and submission for multiple cancer studies. Serve as liaison between the clinical team, sponsor, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure appropriate communication and reporting. Assist management in Quality Control and Training & Development; may provide input into assessment of departmental procedures. Engage in data abstraction and entry, regulatory management, and patient coordination across studies. Identify changes associated with Standard Operating Procedures and develop procedures to ensure compliance. Manage studies of a particular specialized program. Organize and prepare for internal/external audits. Participate in the recruitment process for new hires. Mentor junior staff. Assist with verification of new study and amendment activation requirements. Assist investigators with the completion of the New Protocol Intake Sheet for regulatory routing. Maintain ongoing communication with the clinical team regarding study patients and progress for multiple studies. Qualifications Education : Bachelor's Degree in Related Field of Study required. Experience : 0-1 years required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Exceptional time management and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of current and developing clinical research trends. Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor others. Ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
