Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1970 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Credentials: - Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Teaching hospital experience is preferred. - Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - RTO must be listed at time of submission.

Unit Details: - Most admissions come from ED, ICU, or PACU. - Neuro/tele patient population includes TIA/stroke, trauma, epilepsy monitoring, neurosurgical patients (ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, craniotomy), and subdural hematoma. - Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with 4 designated beds for continuous EEG monitoring. - Patients present with varied neurologic and neurosurgical pathologies. - Works closely with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy using an interdisciplinary team approach.

Shift & Scheduling: - No on-call required. - 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
