We serve Subs, Salads, Soup, Chips, Chili, Cookies and Brownies. Our meat is sliced fresh every day from whole muscle meats. Many of our shifts are part time with hours in the morning and evening. We start arriving at 8:00 A.M. and open at 10:00 A.M. closing at 9:00 P.M. There is generally 6 to 8 employees working each shift. We cross train all of our employees so there is a chance to learn the other sandwich making positions as well allowing you to earn more hours each day. REPORTS TO: General Manager POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the business. Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures. Ensures the profitability of the business by operation shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth. Providing leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® “culture” and mission and vision statements. Assists the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner. Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule. Actively participates in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives. Represents Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all times. Communicates effectively to the GM/Owner any and all issues that may impact our business. Able to work on their feet for up to 13 hours at a time. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Any other duties assigned by GM/Owner. Shift Leader Availability Requirements Shift Leaders are required to maintain a minimum availability of 35 hours per week . This means Shift Leaders must be available to work at least 35 hours each week; however, the Company does not guarantee that 35 hours will be scheduled. Actual hours worked may be more or less depending on business needs. Shift Leaders may be scheduled for more than 40 hours per week when workload, staffing levels, or operational demands require it. Overtime will be paid in accordance with federal and state law. Shift Leaders must also be available to work weekends and holidays , except for the Company’s designated closed holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). Availability for a mix of opening, mid‑shift, and closing shifts is required.
