Senior Design Engineer

Industry leader in Montgomery County is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join its growing team. Position would be responsible for ground up design, design modifications, FEA analysis, and testing. • Research and identify the mechanics, performance, and functional requirements of the product to assure adequacy for the intended function for the customer
• Partner with Purchasing and Production departments to create design improvements that support reduction in costs and improve quality and performance
• Conceptualize, conceive, plan design and model building, computer stimulation, testing, costing, and customer acceptance activity with each objective
• Coordinate material cost optimization between Engineering and Production
• Provide customer service support on engineering related items
• Resolve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), by investigating the problem to implement and document the appropriate changes

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience; including 3 years of 3D CAD, 5 years of mechanical design, and 5 years of MRP
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and drafting
• Experience with continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction
• Proficient with MS Office products
