Shifts: 7AM - 5PM

In this role, you will work in a dynamic healthcare environment, where you will coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served, ensuring the delivery of quality care in an efficient and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Obtain and record initial assessment; prioritize according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans within Nursing Standards of Care time frames.
• Make nursing decisions based on interpreted facts and evaluations; modify care plans as needed.
• Participate in patient and significant other health education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs; evaluate care plans.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures.
• Utilize effective communication strategies and delegate unit assignments appropriately.
• Coordinate team assignments and adjust based on patient and unit needs; ensure quality of delegated tasks.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and students; function as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Promote a positive work environment and collaborate with others to achieve unit and organizational goals.
• Exhibit behaviors that support high patient/customer satisfaction, respect, and effective communication.
• Assist with special projects and accurately interpret HR policies and procedures.
• Adapt to changes in the work environment or work schedule and ensure professional growth.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS Certification via AHA required.
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served.
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to patient's rights in care delivery.
• Clear communication tailored to the developmental age of the patient.
