Job Description Job Description The NYC Financial Information Services Agency-Office of Payroll Administration (FISA-OPA) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to work as a WebSphere Administrator, supporting production maintenance and phased implementation of the HR, Benefits, and Timekeeping functions of the city's HR/Payroll systems. The position is responsible for installing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting middleware infrastructure, particularly IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, and Cognos. The engineer will support critical citywide applications, collaborate with technical teams, work independently, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. REC 431- IT Infrastructure Engineer.pdf Requirements Requirements Minimum qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations: A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of relevant full-time experience in data center engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or complex IT infrastructure engineering. Automation and DevOps Git, Ansible, configuration management, Configuration as Code, and DevOps methodologies. CI/CD Jenkins, CloudBees, or similar deployment and automation tools. Associated middleware IBM MQ, IBM Server, WebSphere Message Broker, Oracle WebLogic, or Cognos. Troubleshooting Java debugging, SQL, middleware upgrades, patching, and detailed root-cause analysis. Enterprise operations Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments and 24/7 operations, including nights and weekends when needed.
