Gate Service Representative- Night Shift

What You’ll Do Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Gate Service Representative supports the intermodal trucking community by leveraging proprietary technology to perform intermodal gate transactions, maintenance, and repair at the terminal. You will make timely operating decisions to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-oriented service. Responsibilities Service, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on Automated Gating System (AGS) equipment and its components Survey, repair, and troubleshoot overall system health and performance Proactively report on system specifications, operations, inventory needs, and site performance Explain site health information and provide technical insight on system repairs to client management Assist in testing new-generation AGS components and provide reliability and suitability reports to management Assist with the install and commission of AGS equipment on site Accurately and efficiently process automated and manual gate transactions as needed, entering data into an office computer or handheld device for each unit as it enters or exits the intermodal terminal Maintain a client work environment in REMPREX vehicles, Driver’s Assistance Building and server room Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) Demonstrated attention to detail Interest in and commitment to continual growth Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and basic technical orientation with computers, printers, and multi-line telephonic equipment, mechanical aptitude with networking hardware and software Ability to multi-task, demonstrate flexibility and persevere in an environment with rapidly changing customer requests and requirements, seasonal workload variations, and industry needs; ability to adapt to extended or adjusted hours in a 24/7/365 operation Preferred Previous experience in the intermodal industry Location This role is based out of our Alliance terminal in Halstead, TX (14821 Blue Mound Road, Haslet, TX 76052) This role requires employees to be 100% onsite during shifts Equal Opportunity Employer REMPREX is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
