PRN Nights 3 shifts per 6 week period required 6pm-6am

Overview As part of BJC HealthCare Parkland Health Center offers a unique combination of world-class medicine along with the deep local roots and rich history of its three predecessors Bonne Terre Hospital Mineral Area Regional Medical Center and Farmington Community Hospital. Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County Missouri a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. In addition Parklands Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care obstetrics and emergency services along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services an infusion center a wound care clinic and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation lab radiology and sleep study.

The Cardiopulmonary Department provides support to assist the physician in diagnosing and treating respiratory care concerns in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities related to respiratory care including assessment diagnosis planning implementation and evaluation within the guidelines of the hospital and department. Can apply clinical respiratory expertise and scientific knowledge including best practices and shares with others as part of the patient care team. Ensures care provided is safe effective developmentally and age appropriate while complying with all quality and regulatory requirements as well as quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities Performs various diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to established standards procedures guidelines and policies. Applies respiratory knowledge and clinical expertise including the ability to assess analyze and troubleshoot as needed. Effectively communicates by participating in the exchange of information including documentation handoff and works collaboratively with the healthcare team. Provides education and training about respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to others including patients families students new employees and members of the healthcare team utilizing diversity and learning styles. Holds self-accountable and seeks out opportunities for continuous learning and feedback and is able to perform multiple related duties prioritizing and applying effective time management.

Minimum Requirements Education Assoc or CoARC Accredited Prog- Respiratory Therapy Experience No Experience Supervisor Experience No Experience Licenses & Certifications Basic Cardiovascular Life Sup CRT Respiratory Care Practitioner
