Licensed Practical Nurse Or Registered NurseCares for and treat patients in medical office, as directed by physician: Prepares patient for and assists with examinations. Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, interprets physician's instructions to patients, and performs related tasks as directed. Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient.Essential duties and responsibilities:Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health historySet-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and testsComplies with HIPPA regulations at all times.Performs a variety of administrative duties in order to meet patient needs and ensure efficient operation of the Health Center.Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and examsManage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate suppliesCompiles reports as requestedPrepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments.Handles moderately complex to complex problems on a daily basis.Greets patients and visitors with courtesy, ascertains purpose of visit and provides appropriate response or directs to appropriate staff. Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a customer-friendly environment.Educates patients regarding availability and extent of healthcare services, patient rights and responsibilities, and practice policies and procedures.Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, HIPAA, and FERPA guidelines.Education/Experience:Registered Nurse (RN) or LPNActive applicable state licensureAmerican Heart Association issued BLSKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skillsComprehensive computer skills; technologically savvyKnowledgeable in EMR systems such as AthenaProficient in skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and digital methods of communicationDemonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the community patients.Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.Exercise independent judgment in complex, new, and/or stressful situations.Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet set deadlinesAdaptability, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environmentAbility to work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm for a maximum of 40 hours per week on the Main Campus and/or another location associated with Campbell University if needed.
