We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic / Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and heavy equipment, including dump trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, skid steers. Fabrication and welding experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on dump trucks and trailers.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
- Inspect, repair, and replace clutches, brakes, suspension components, and steering systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repairs and modifications.
- Complete preventative maintenance services.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Assist with roadside repairs when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience as a diesel mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
- Experience with hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform welding and fabrication work.
- Familiarity with dump trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery.
- Experience repairing clutches, brakes, suspension, and driveline components.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL Class A or B preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop environment.
