Responsibilities Use a consultative approach with end users, distributors, contractors, architects, engineers, etc. to select appropriate systems for their projects that fit within their usage requirements, budget, and time frame. Establish / maintain relationships and grow distribution partners Must be able to give presentations to end-users, school boards, facilities management personnel, senior level stake holders in athletic programs, architects, and engineers, among others, to educate them how Shaw Sports Turf can benefit them in their facilities. Travel throughout the assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new customers to solicit business. Build relationships with existing and new customers by entertaining such as lunches, dinners, or special events. Attend Regional and National Conventions when required Establish a presence and relationship with end use networking groups in your territory A full understanding of the product line, procurement processes, and sports field construction is essential. Must be motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment with a widespread support team stretching multiple time zones Must be able and competent to work with and manage territory thru CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool such as Salesforce.com and other digital environments The ability to interface/communicate with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectable manner. Must be able to understand basic biomechanics and sports science principles and how they relate to sports turf systems while being able to communicate those to customers concisely.
