Armed Security Officer

Location: Bridgeport, CT
Position Type: Full-Time / Rotating Schedule
Pay Rate: $24.49 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable Armed Security Officer to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents as needed. This role requires a high level of integrity, situational awareness, and the ability to work a rotating schedule.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts:
  • 0800 – 1600 (Day Shift)
  • 1600 – 0000 (Evening Shift)
• Flexibility required, including weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide armed security presence and patrol assigned areas
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
• Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding property
• Complete accurate reports and incident documentation
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• De-escalate conflicts and handle situations professionally
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• CT Pistol Permit

Additional Requirements

• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Firearms proficiency and safety training required
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime if needed
