CNC EDM Setup and Operations Specialist (Wire/Sinker)

Step into precision: a day in this roleOn your shift, you’ll take ownership of a dedicated EDM cell—setting up wire, sinker, or pop EDM equipment, running complex parts to exacting specs, and keeping everything humming with routine TPM and 6S discipline. You’ll inspect what you make, document it accurately, and hand off cleanly so the next team can hit the ground running. When needed, you’ll also pitch in on basic grinding operations to keep work moving.Your impactProgram, set up, and operate EDM equipment (wire, sinker, or pop) to produce precision components.Machine and validate parts against engineering drawings and customer requirements.Perform in-process and final checks against manufacturing standards and blueprints; visually verify surfaces for burrs or damage.Complete and maintain all part identification and records per planning requirements.Communicate clear pass-down notes during shift change to ensure continuity.Carry out routine TPM and basic maintenance to maximize uptime.Follow safety and quality systems; sustain a clean, organized 6S workspace.Coordinate part and material flow so the cell stays productive.Shifts you can chooseNights: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AMWeekends (Fri–Sun): 6:00 AM – 6:30 PMWhat you'll needHigh school diploma or GED.2–5 years running wire or sinker EDMs with working mastery of GD&T.Comfort with blueprint reading, planning documents, and manufacturing specs.Familiarity with Siemens CNC controls is a plus.Team-minded multitasker who communicates clearly in a fast-paced environment.Physical capabilities: lift 50 lbs (4\"–25\"), push/pull 60 lbs, grip strength ≥50 lbs, and reach above shoulder (65\").Tools & techEDM Machine (Wire) plus exposure to sinker and pop EDMAdvanced inspection and gaging for precise measurementCompensation & benefitsHourly range: $25–$37.50/hr, plus shift premiums.Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, and educational assistance.Core proficienciesGD&TCNC machine setup and changeoverAdvanced inspection & gage measurementCompliance requirements (verbatim)U.S. citizenship requiredMust be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed #J-18808-Ljbffr 100Hires, Inc.
