Lessons can take place at the student’s home, the instructor’s own home or studio, or via webcam. While most lessons are in person, a small portion will be by webcam. As an independent contractor, instructors are paid between $20 and $30 per hour. Compensation may vary based on travel time, experience, education, and student retention. Instructors set their own schedule, curriculum, and lesson plans. The company will handle advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing. Instructors should be organized, punctual, and maintain clear communication with the office. Children are included in the student population, so a friendly, patient approach is preferred. Required qualifications include one of the following: a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience. Formal music training is not mandatory, but experience must be demonstrated. Local instructors or those willing to travel within the Crandall, TX area are preferred.
