Clinic Medical AssistantThe Clinic Medical Assistant supports healthcare providers and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. This role is essential in creating a safe, organized, and compassionate environment for patients.Reports To: Director, Outpatient Services | Manager, Business OfficeHourly Range: $18.75 - $27.46 (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)Essential Job FunctionsPrepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical proceduresTake and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accuratelyPerform basic clinical tasks such as injections, specimen collection, and EKGs (as permitted by scope of practice)Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam roomsDocument patient care in electronic health record (EHR) systemsSchedule patient appointments and assist with patient flowFollow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelinesAdditional DutiesAssist with front desk tasks, including patient check-in and check-outHandle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries as neededSupport inventory management and ordering of medical suppliesParticipate in staff meetings, training, and continuing educationPerform other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferredMedical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred or required per clinic policyExperience:1–2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferredExperience with EHR systems and basic clinical procedures preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periodsAbility to lift or move up to 25 poundsManual dexterity to perform clinical tasks and use medical equipmentAbility to communicate clearly with patients and staffWorking Conditions/Environmental ExposuresEnvironmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts.
