This position supports compliance, employee relations, and other HR initiatives through research, policy interpretation, and problem-solving. The Human Resources Generalist also identifies opportunities to improve HR processes and supports the successful execution of department and organization-wide initiatives. Supervisory Responsibilities None Essential Duties and Requirements Researches, recommends, and assists with implementing process improvements and systems designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Human Resources operations. Coordinates and conducts 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins with new hires and managers to assess onboarding progress, identify concerns, and recommend resources or solutions to support successful integration into the organization. Administers the annual Performance Review process, provides guidance to managers and employees regarding timeline and procedures. Assists with employee relations matters by gathering information, researching policies and applicable employment laws, and providing recommendations to Human Resources leadership and managers. Administers and maintains the company's Learning Management System, including content management, reporting, user support, and monitoring employee training completion; collaborates with department heads to ensure alignment of training materials with organizational goals. Coordinates with workers' compensation carriers and adjusters, initiates claims and monitors claim activity, participates in claim review meetings, and escalates concerns or trends. Researches and interprets leave eligibility requirements under FMLA and applicable state leave laws; assists with leave administration and communicates necessary information to employees, managers, and payroll. Manages the company’s survey and award programs, ensuring timely submissions, tracking participation and results, communicating award achievements, and maintaining records to support reporting and program effectiveness. Compliance reporting for mandated federal and state required submissions. Tracks minimum wage updates and other employment law developments; assesses organizational impact, recommends policy or pay practice changes as needed, and conducts audits to ensure compliance. Adheres to departmental and company policies and procedures and administers information consistently. Ensures company policies, employee handbook, and documentation are up to date to maintain compliance with current labor laws, company policies, and industry standards. Executes company-wide employee standards and procedures in observance of local and federal laws. Collaborates with HR team on projects, events, and communications. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and employment laws. Ability to research issues, analyze information, and make sound recommendations. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business information. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to understand policies, explain requirements, and provide guidance to employees and managers. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members, employees, and leaders. Proficiency with HRIS platforms, learning management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other technology platforms. Organized with attention to detail, strong communication skills, high integrity, and dependability. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment in handling routine and moderately complex HR matters. Highly motivated to achieve results and meet goals. Education and Experience Criteria Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, required. Two (2) years of Human Resources experience, required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside an office environment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Frequently communicate with internal and external clients in-person, and via telephone, email, and video conferencing.
