Field Mechanic

And we are better with you.We are looking for a Field Mechanic to join our team and support the Agricultural Ingredients business in Livingston, California. In this position, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, mechanical, and supervisory support to the field operations. Ensuring the safe operation of field equipment through the proper overhaul, maintenance and transportation of all field equipment. This position is shop based however will require travel to provide support to Field Operations as needed. Maintains shop and equipment in good safe efficient conditions, with special care to critical equipment.What You'll Do:Perform all levels of repairs to include welding, fabrication, and the ability to operate a lathe to make proper equipment repairsOverhaul, maintain and repair field equipment including trucks, tractors and diesel engines, as well as testing of overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiencyParticipate in root cause analysis investigations on repeat equipment/process failures for continued improvementPlan work procedures and/or possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts and rearrangement of parts or subassembliesThis position is expected to maintain ongoing contact with the maintenance manager/superintendent, maintenance coordinator, harvest supervisors, equipment operators, low bed drivers and other maintenance staff as needed to ensure clear and effective communication regarding job activities.May be expected to have some periodic contact with suppliers and vendors as directedWhat You'll Bring:Skilled, highly motivated self-starter who is able to think independently, yet work as a team playerAt least five years of experience as a Field Mechanic. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
