Software Architect

Salary: $150,000 - 190,000 per year Requirements:

• We need someone with 8+ years of work experience, including demonstrated use of Agentic AI in architecture, technical design, and implementation.
• We require a bachelors degree or advanced degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• You should be highly motivated, self-directed, and intellectually curious, with a strong inclination to apply emerging AI tools to engineering challenges.
• You need substantial experience architecting complex distributed systems and guiding teams through their development.
• You should have hands-on experience using Agentic AI for architecture, technical design, and implementation, including AI coding agents, design copilots, automated code review, and RAG-based design assistants.
• You need the ability to lead or contribute to business, culture, technical, and practice initiatives that support continuous improvement, including AI-augmented engineering adoption.
• You should have a strong history of collaborating with stakeholders and proposing new product offerings and company-wide strategies informed by industry insight.
• You need the ability to negotiate complex or high-risk technical business issues on our behalf and consult with management on long-term project objectives.
• You should have experience leading technical due diligence and roadmap development for strategic partnerships, third-party partners, mergers, and acquisitions.
• You need effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others toward a future-state architecture.
• You should have expert-level experience with multiple client-side and server-side programming languages, with Java and Spring Boot required and React preferred.
• You need expert-level experience building, deploying, and supporting REST services and microservices.
• You should have expert-level experience with container orchestration platforms and cloud-native architectures, and the ability to guide cloud service adoption across major cloud providers.
• You need working knowledge of LLM-backed services, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, evaluation harnesses, and related governance considerations.
• You should have significant experience with relational databases, non-relational databases, messaging systems, and event-driven architecture patterns.
• You need expert-level experience with containerization technologies and container-based deployment strategies.
• You should have deep expertise in infrastructure as code practices for repeatable, auditable, and scalable infrastructure.
• You need strong knowledge of service mesh and API gateway patterns for securing and managing microservices at scale.
• You should have experience with GitOps and modern continuous delivery practices for cloud-native platforms.
• You should be able to join a team, lead initiatives, and build software to solve difficult problems.

• We set enterprise-wide standards for software structure, maintainability, quality, and the responsible use of Agentic AI in implementation.
• We ensure solutions meet both explicit and implicit user needs.
• We act as thought leaders in software engineering and AI-augmented development, including prompt design, guardrails, and agent workflows that improve delivery without sacrificing quality.
• We coach others to solve problems using multiple languages, technologies, software tools, and AI coding agents.
• We serve as subject matter experts in key technologies and help define organizational standards in technology, methodology, and Agentic AI tooling.
• We lead comprehensive testing strategies across microservices, API contract testing, and end-to-end workflows.
• We use Agentic AI to create, expand, maintain, and triage test suites and edge-case scenarios.
• We provide guidance on testing best practices, including automation, CI/CD integration, AI-assisted quality engineering, and metrics tracking.
• We partner with other disciplines to deliver prescriptive and forward-looking intelligence.
• We design solutions that integrate effectively with machine learning tools, generative AI services, and cloud-based data services.
• We architect data flows that support Agentic AI use cases such as retrieval, grounding, and evaluation.
• We define data management best practices and act as subject matter experts in that area.
• We lead cloud architecture efforts and guide the implementation and adoption of cloud-native solutions across the organization.
• We establish best practices for cloud service use, data migration, complex integrations, and the deployment of AI agents and LLM-backed services.
• We provide technical direction and governance for advanced infrastructure and integrations, including resource optimization and AI workload cost management.
• We analyze analytics and operational metrics to identify user behavior trends and recommend architectural improvements.
• We shape operational strategies, including AI-assisted observability, incident response, and self-healing systems.
• We serve as subject matter experts in operations best practices, tools, and techniques.
• We understand the broader business impact and help protect our companys reputation.
• We direct teams in multi-stage threat mitigation and secure coding practices, including secure use of Agentic AI.
• We develop tools to address security gaps and provide regulatory compliance guidance, especially in healthcare contexts such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
• We set the organizations standards for security and compliance.
• We shape our user-centric direction and promote seamless experiences, including AI-native interactions where appropriate.
• We define interaction patterns across multiple products to create consistent experiences.
• We demonstrate deep expertise in user-facing technologies and advocate for best practices and innovation.
• We lead prioritization and remediation of technical and design debt across the platform.
• We define industry-standard approaches for functional and non-functional requirements.
• We orchestrate complex system architectures and manage data flow end to end.
• We balance future-state engineering with current business needs.
• We establish best practices and anti-patterns for the organization.
• We use Agentic AI to accelerate architecture work by generating design alternatives, evaluating trade-offs, producing ADRs, and reviewing designs against established patterns and constraints.
