Job TitleRespiratory TherapistJob DescriptionThe duties include:Assessing patient cardiopulmonary status based on physical exam, pulmonary function results and laboratory data.Interpreting blood gas and pulmonary function results on test technical accuracy and logic.Organizing and carrying out asthma education for asthmatics including asthma teaching, inhaler/nebulizer instruction, and review of written asthma instructions with the family and patient.Performing all routine technical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.Regularly setting up and monitoring complex respiratory therapy equipment such as volume and pressure ventilators.Maintaining department areas and equipment including packaging equipment for sterilization and disinfecting when appropriate.
