EVENT CATERING WAIT STAFF (PART TIME)

Event Catering Wait Staff Location: Prospect House Princeton University – 1 Washington Street, Princeton, NJ 08544. Online applications accepted only. Schedule: Part‑time, days and hours may vary. Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts is preferred. Details provided during interview. Requirement: Prior catering experience preferred; willing to train. Fixed Pay Rate: $19.43 per hour. Job Summary Assembles, delivers, sets up and serves food and beverages to guests at on‑premise and off‑premise events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble and deliver all food and supplies for catered events to scheduled locations. Arrange tables and decorations. Set buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to pre‑established standards. Serve food and beverages to guests. Clean and pack dishes and utensils. Return unused foods, beverage, serving equipment and utensils to the commissary. Ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively according to standards. Handle food items appropriately during preparation. Serve food neatly and attractively. Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service. Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Assist with food and table prep before events begin. Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs. Serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages; open wine and take drink orders. Clean up venue after event and assist with inventory, food storage and other close‑out tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds. Must meet any applicable state and local health requirements for food handlers.
