Responsibilities Patient Care Assist licensed nursing staff in providing care tailored to patient needs based on condition, development, and age. Participate in implementing the interdisciplinary care plan. Adapt and organize care plans considering patient preferences and routines. Support patient self-care and independence. Recognize and respond to signs of normal and abnormal mental functions and behaviors, especially in cognitively impaired patients. Maintain a safe environment, use infection control procedures, and handle restraints properly. Identify signs of common diseases and communicate findings promptly. Assist with basic nutrition and hydration needs. Respond appropriately to emergencies following established procedures. Complete documentation accurately and timely. Competency Understand and operate within the legal scope of CNA practice. Maintain current certification and perform within the scope of practice.
