Pharma Account Supervisor

Location: Somerset County, NJ (3 days onsite)

Account Supervisor, Rare Disease

We are seeking an experienced Account Supervisor to lead day-to-day client relationships and account management for healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing programs. This role serves as a key client contact, providing strategic guidance, overseeing projects and campaigns, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate is a strong client services professional and strategic thinker with experience managing pharmaceutical or healthcare accounts, particularly across digital, social, patient engagement, and integrated marketing initiatives. This person should be comfortable leading client conversations, managing multiple projects, identifying opportunities, and working within a highly regulated environment.

• Serve as the day-to-day client lead for assigned healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and understand their business, marketing, and communication objectives.
• Lead client meetings, planning sessions, status calls, and presentations.
• Proactively communicate project status, timelines, deliverables, challenges, and recommendations.
• Translate client needs into clear project scopes and actionable direction for internal teams.
• Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand existing relationships.

Strategic Planning & Campaign Management

• Contribute to and lead strategic marketing initiatives across digital, social, patient engagement, provider communications, and awareness campaigns.
• Develop integrated marketing strategies and ensure successful execution from planning through launch.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on campaign performance, market insights, and client objectives.
• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and priorities while ensuring alignment between clients and internal teams.
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate creative, digital, social, strategy, project management, and other internal teams to deliver client work.
• Lead teams through project planning and execution, providing clear direction and maintaining accountability.
• Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders and clients to keep projects moving forward.
• Review deliverables for accuracy, quality, strategic alignment, and adherence to client requirements.
• Proactively identify issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track.

Healthcare/Pharmaceutical Compliance

• Ensure marketing materials and campaigns follow applicable healthcare and pharmaceutical regulations and client requirements.
• Coordinate with legal, medical, regulatory, and compliance stakeholders throughout the review and approval process.
• Manage and navigate established review processes while maintaining project timelines.
• Support the planning and execution of healthcare-related advisory boards and other client initiatives.

Financial & Business Management

• Manage account budgets, billing, forecasting, and financial tracking.
• Monitor project scope and resource requirements to help ensure work remains on budget.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional services and solutions.
• Balance client needs, business objectives, project requirements, and available resources.

Digital & Social Marketing

• Oversee paid and organic social media initiatives and other digital marketing programs.
• Partner with digital and social teams to ensure campaigns are strategically aligned and effectively executed.
• Review campaign analytics and translate performance data into actionable client recommendations.
• Stay current on healthcare marketing trends, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management/client services experience, with at least 3 years supporting pharmaceutical or healthcare clients.
• Experience working in an agency, healthcare marketing, or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong experience with digital and social marketing campaigns.
• Experience managing client relationships and serving as a primary day-to-day client contact.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, billing, forecasting, and project financials.
• Experience with healthcare/pharmaceutical regulatory and review processes.
• Experience supporting or coordinating advisory boards or similar healthcare initiatives is preferred.
• Rare disease experience is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Teams, Veeva, Basecamp, or similar project/collaboration platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
