Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you'll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients' homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You'll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Assessing patients' home environments and reinforcing appropriate safety strategies
• Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Requirements

Need to Have:

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) l icense
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
• Afternoon availability

Nice to Have:

• Previous home care experience
• Monday-Friday availability
• Weekend availability
