Kitchen ManagerThe Kitchen Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistency in food quality, team performance, cleanliness, and overall efficiency. This role works closely with the Executive Chef and management team to maintain standards while supporting a positive and organized work environment.Daily Kitchen OperationsOversee all back-of-house operations during serviceEnsure all dishes are executed consistently to standardMaintain proper prep levels and station organizationManage ticket flow and support the team during peak serviceStaff Management & DevelopmentSupervise, schedule, and support kitchen staffAssist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team membersProvide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance managementHelp build a strong, respectful, and accountable team cultureInventory & OrderingManage inventory levels and place orders as neededTrack product usage and minimize wasteConduct regular inventory counts and report variancesEnsure proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)Food Quality & StandardsUphold all recipes, plating, and portion standardsWork with Head Chef on menu updates and executionMonitor food quality throughout serviceEnsure consistency across all shiftsHealth, Safety & CleanlinessMaintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen at all timesEnsure compliance with health department regulationsEnforce proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standardsMaintain and uphold all food safety standards in alignment with ServSafe guidelinesLead by example with cleanliness and organizationOperational SupportCommunicate effectively with FOH managers during serviceAssist in managing labor and controlling overtimeHelp troubleshoot service issues and support solutionsParticipate in meetings and contribute to operational improvementsQualifications2–4+ years of kitchen leadership experienceStrong expo experience in a high-volume restaurantServSafe Certification (required)Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safetyAbility to lead a team in a fast-paced environmentOrganized, reliable, and detail-orientedStrong communication and problem-solving skillsFluency in Spanish is a plusWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who can confidently run expo and lead serviceA calm, clear communicator who can manage pressureA team player who supports both BOH and FOHTakes ownership and pride in their workInvested in growing with the team and improving systemsPay: From $55,000.00 per year Work Location: In person Compensation: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearIt's true The Brass Tap has the best Craft Beer lineup anywhere and chef-inspired food that raises the bar on bar food.
