Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Location Reston, VA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 19:00 - 07:00 Job Description The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide essential care for women during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting. This position requires expertise in circulating for C-sections and managing high-acuity scenarios, as well as proficiency in IV drips including magnesium. Responsibilities Assist in labor management and delivery processes, including vaginal births and C-sections. Monitor fetal heart rates and manage maternal conditions during labor. Administer medication and IV therapies as prescribed. Provide postpartum care and education to new mothers. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN license and BLS certification. ACLS and NRP certifications required. Experience in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
