Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

A general contractor in the Johnstown, CO area is adding an Assistant Project Manager to its team as part of continued growth. The company delivers commercial and industrial projects, and this role offers a clear path toward a full Project Manager position. The right candidate will support the project management team on budgets, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation from preconstruction through closeout. Both ground-up and tenant improvement experience are welcome. Benefits and Highlights: Competitive compensation of $90K-$110K, plus benefits Clear growth path toward Project Manager Exposure to a mix of commercial and industrial projects Hands-on mentorship from experienced Project Managers and Superintendents Stable general contractor with consistent project flow Responsibilities: Support the Project Manager with budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and monthly billings Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation Assist with subcontractor buyout, procurement, and contract administration Coordinate schedules with the Superintendent, subcontractors, and vendors Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings and follow up on action items Help identify project risks and resolve issues early Assist with punch list, closeout documents, and warranty follow-up Requirements: Experience with a general contractor on commercial or industrial projects Ground-up or tenant improvement experience is acceptable Working knowledge of project management and scheduling software Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required TrueBuild Partners LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
