Research Scientist Manager, Climate and Energy
The Research Scientist Manager for Climate and Energy at Google will lead a team focused on utilizing technology to address climate change and develop sustainable energy solutions. This role involves evaluating energy technology proposals and generating innovative concepts, transforming them into practical solutions. The manager will oversee research projects, manage budgets, and report progress to executive leadership. The position requires collaboration with domain experts and a strong understanding of various energy systems. PhD degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience with research agendas across multiple teams or projects. Experience in high vacuum systems, pulse power systems, combustion and thermodynamic systems, optics and lasers, or cryogenic systems. Scientific publications in conferences or journals are preferred. Experience managing a research lab or being an early-stage employee or founder at a startup. #J-18808-Ljbffr Google
