Commercial HVAC Installer

Commercial HVAC Installer

Location: Minster, OH

Position Overview

We are seeking a proud, quality-focused Commercial HVAC Installer to lead commercial equipment replacements and mechanical system installations across our primary service area. System replacements represent 80% of our total business, meaning our reputation rests directly on the craftsmanship, cleanliness, and efficiency of our installation team.

In this role, you will lead full commercial system change-outs (rooftop units, split systems, and commercial mechanical retrofits), take ownership of job site cleanliness and safety, and mentor installation assistants to help them work independently. We take immense pride in delivering superior installations—showing facility owners and commercial managers the extra steps we take that other companies skip—while ensuring 100% customer satisfaction on every job.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Lead and perform complete commercial HVAC system replacements, rooftop unit (RTU) change-outs, equipment retrofits, and mechanical installations.

• Maintain exceptional quality control and eliminate callbacks by thoroughly re-checking all work using our Installation Excellence Form prior to leaving every job site.

• Protect commercial client facilities by using floor savers, protective coverings, and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace at all times.

• Walk facility managers and commercial clients through their new system upon completion, explaining operation, answering questions, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

• Complete all installation paperwork, job notes, and system documentation accurately and on time using CertainPath field service software.

• Drive and maintain a clean, professional, and well-organized company truck (our best mobile billboard), adhering to all safety and safe driving standards.

• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, commercial job site rules, and our corporate Code of Ethics.

Requirements

• Proven experience performing commercial HVAC system change-outs, rooftop equipment retrofits, and duct/refrigerant line set modifications.

• EPA Universal Certification required (OSHA certification is a plus).

• Exceptional eye for detail, pride in craftsmanship, and commitment to high-level customer service and job site protection.

• Strong safety awareness and a willingness to teach and develop helper/assistant installers.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR). Candidates must be willing to submit to pre-employment background checks and drug testing.

• Possession of standard personal trade hand tools (specialty equipment and power tools provided by the company).

What Can We Do for You?

• $20.00 – $40.00 per hour (commensurate with experience), paid weekly.

• Discretionary Christmas bonus, year-end company profit-sharing program, and longevity bonuses.

• Company pays 75% of employee health insurance premiums.

• Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance coverage provided.

• 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% company match.

• 40 hours of accrued PTO to start, 2 days of personal time per quarter, plus paid company holidays.

• Take-home company vehicle provided after initial training, paid uniforms, and a tool reimbursement allowance.

• 100% commercial/industrial customer base offering consistent year-round hours without residential high-pressure sales expectations.

The base compensation for this position is expected to range between $20.00 - $40.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.

Employee(s) will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by any person authorized to give instructions or assignments.
