The Senior Experience Designer will play an important role in growing and evolving Ethos, TIAA's enterprise design system. As part of the team designing components, patterns, and templates, you will help accelerate the development of high quality, accessible, and brand-consistent experiences across TIAA's product suite. Key Responsibilities and DutiesDesign, maintain, and evolve component, pattern, and template libraries with a high standard of craft and executionIdentify opportunities for new patterns and lead thorough discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with cross-functional partnersAuthor and maintain design system documentation to guide cross-functional partners in effectively using the design systemPartner with engineering to translate designed components, patterns, and templates into reusable, production-ready codeDeliver day-to-day support to designers and engineers across all applications leveraging the design system, including responding to questions via team communication channels and conducting thorough reviews of submitted design experiencesLeverage our internal AI-enabled workflows and tools while identifying new opportunities to bring value to the team through emerging AI capabilitiesDesign with a strategic mindset and systems-thinking approach, transforming complexity into experiences that are simple, clear, and trustedChampion Design Thinking throughout the business, communicating with care and empathy to inspire and motivate others in support of our greater mission and team cultureEducational RequirementsUniversity (Degree) PreferredWork Experience5+ Years Required; 7+ Years PreferredPhysical RequirementsPhysical Requirements: Sedentary WorkCareer Level8ICRequired Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of professional UX design experience Demonstrated portfolio showcasing design systems created or contributed to, along with examples of designs that effectively apply design system principles Proven proficiency in Figma, particularly in its design system features and industry best practices Preferred Qualifications:7+ years of professional UX design experience is preferredDemonstrated background in enterprise experience design, consumer product design, and mobile platform design within an agile delivery model Experience leveraging AI capabilities and tools to drive organizational or team efficiency Working knowledge of common development languages (e.g. HTML, CSS) and tech stacks (e.g. React), with the ability to engage in detailed implementation conversations with development partners Familiarity with content management systems for maintaining documentation sites and how they integrate with design workflows Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and standards (WCAG) Experience contributing to or influencing design system governance, contribution models, or adoption strategies A self-starter mindset, well organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, eager to innovate, and driven by a strong "test and learn" mentality Related SkillsAccountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Consultative Communication, Continuous Improvement Mindset, Creative Thinking, Critical Thinking, Innovation, Prototyping, Relationship Management, Test & Learn Mentality, User Experience DesignAnticipated Posting End Date:2026-08-20Base Pay Range: $112,000/yr - $144,000/yrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
