You'll support proactive identification and control of EHS risks, strengthen safety culture, and help ensure regulatorycomplianceateachprojectstage.Thisroleoffersexposuretocomplextechnicalchallenges,mentorshipopportunities,cross-functionalcollaboration,andlong-termcareergrowthwithinERM'srapidlyexpandingSafetyServicesteam.WhatYou'llBringRequiredBachelor'sdegreeinsafety,occupationalhealthandsafety,engineering,constructionmanagement,orrelatedfieldorequivalentexperience.6+ years (10+years preferred)ofcapitalprojectEHSexperience,includingowner-sidesafetysupport,contractoroversight,constructionexecution,andcommissioning/start-up.ExperiencewithSafetyinDesign,constructabilityreviews,PHA/PSM-informedriskreviews,andprojectEHSgovernanceprocesses.StrongknowledgeofOSHAconstruction/generalindustrystandards,LOTO,permitting,emergencyresponse,fireprotection,andhigh-riskconstructioncontrols.Experiencereviewingcontractorsafeworkdocumentation,includingJHAs,pre-taskplans,permits,liftplans,energyisolationplans,trainingrecords,andtoolboxtalks.Strongfieldpresence,communicationskills,andabilitytoinfluencecontractors,projectteams,andclientEH&Spersonnel.ProficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeapplicationsandabilitytomanagemultiplepriorities,travelasneeded,anddeliverhigh-qualityclientservice.Driver'sLicenseRequired:Thispositionrequiresavaliddriver'slicenseand/ortheabilitytooperateacompanyvehicleduetothenatureofjobduties,whichincludefrequenttraveltovariousclientlocationsacrossalargegeographicalarea.PreferredCHST,ASP,CSP,OSHA30,confinedspace,fallprotection/prevention,orequivalentcertifications/trainingpreferred.Complexcapitalprojectexperienceinpharmaceutical,high-tech,chemical,LNG,manufacturing,orsimilarsectorshighlydesired.KeyResponsibilitiesServeastheowner'sSafetyrepresentativeacrossthecapitalprojectlifecycle,providingoversight,verification,coaching,andescalationwhilecontractorsretainresponsibilityforexecutionandcontrolimplementation.EmbedSafetyinDesignthroughplanning,engineering,constructability,PHA/PSM-informedreviews,andlosspreventionassessmentstoidentifyandmitigateconstruction,commissioning,start-up,andoperationalrisks.DefineEHSrequirementsforscopesofwork,bidpackages,executionplans,safetyplans,phasegates,contractoronboarding,emergencyresponse,LOTO,andfireprotectionexpectations.DesignandexecuteprojectEHSgovernanceprocesses,includingriskreviews,assuranceroutines,siteaudits,escalationpathways,correctiveactiontracking,andmanagementreporting.Alignproject,engineering,construction,commissioning,operations,contractor,andclientEH&Steamsonsafetyexpectations,accountabilities,communicationprotocols,andincident-freeexecution.Reviewcontractorsafeworkdocumentation,includingJHAs,pre-taskplans,permits,liftplans,energyisolation/LOTOplans,trainingrecords,toolboxtalks,andemergencyresponseplans.Conductowner-sidefieldobservationsandsiteauditstoverifycriticalcontrols,identifyhazards,assesscontractorconformance,andescalatecorrectiveactions.Participateindailyplanningandpre-shiftmeetingstoreviewworkactivities,siteconditions,SIMOPS/interfaces,permitneeds,andsafety-criticalcontrols.TrackandcommunicateEHSobservations,auditfindings,contractortrends,correctiveactions,leadingindicators,andrecommendedactions.Supportcommissioning,start-up,andturnoverreadinessbyverifyingsafetyplanningfornewequipment,energizedsystems,LOTO,operationalinterfaces,permits,emergencypreparedness,andtransitiontooperations.Supportcloseoutbyconfirmingsafetydocumentation,lessonslearned,correctiveactionclosure,demobilizationcontrols,andtransferofEHSrecords.Who We Are: As the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.
