Lead Software Developer (Sitecore / Headless / Cloud) Role Overview This position provides senior technical leadership for enterprise application and digital platform initiatives, with a strong focus on Sitecore-based solutions and modern headless architectures. The Lead Developer will guide complex development efforts, influence platform strategy, and ensure high-quality delivery across content, commerce, and integration systems. This role combines hands‑on engineering with mentoring, architectural input, and delivery ownership. Core Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex Sitecore-based applications Build and maintain headless solutions using Sitecore XM Cloud and Sitecore JSS Translate business and marketing requirements into scalable digital experiences Serve as technical authority for Sitecore architecture and integrations Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards Partner with architecture and product teams on system design and roadmaps Define testing strategies and quality assurance processes Troubleshoot critical production issues and act as escalation lead Support platform upgrades and vendor evaluations Maintain technical documentation and solution designs Promote secure coding practices and compliance standards Provide after‑hours support for high‑priority systems when needed Share best practices and technical knowledge across teams Mentor junior and mid‑level Sitecore developers Provide technical coaching and performance feedback Support hiring, onboarding, and skills development Foster collaboration and delivery accountability Help set and monitor individual and team goals Delivery & Business Impact Lead major digital initiatives with minimal supervision Influence technical priorities and modernization efforts Improve development efficiency and system reliability Drive continuous improvement across teams Technical Leadership Expectations Provide hands‑on guidance for complex Sitecore implementations Lead architectural decisions for headless and composable platforms Resolve cross‑system performance and integration issues Establish coding, documentation, and deployment standards Evaluate and implement new tools and frameworks Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Typically 6–8+ years in software development Demonstrated leadership on enterprise web platforms Strong background in CMS and digital experience platforms Experience working in complex, multi‑system environments Required Technical Skills Strong expertise with Sitecore XM Cloud and headless CMS architecture Experience with Sitecore JSS and API‑first development Advanced proficiency in React, Next.js, and modern front‑end frameworks Experience with MACH and composable DXP strategies Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of microservices and integration patterns #J-18808-Ljbffr Applied Resource Group
