Schedule & Hours: 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM, 4 day work week with a 10 hour work day

• Shift A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• Shift B: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Position Summary

The Harvest Technician is responsible for supporting all harvest and trimming activities within our cultivation operation. This role works closely with cultivation and environmental services teams to ensure plants are harvested, processed, and tracked accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical, detail-oriented work, and are ready to contribute to a high-performing cultivation environment. This role will be supporting our Surterra Wellness operations in Florida.

What You'll Do

• Perform the harvesting of mature cannabis plants according to production schedules and operational goals
• Assist with de-fanning plants during appropriate harvest stages to maximize efficiency
• Operate trimming equipment and perform trimming activities on dried cannabis flower

• Maintain strict separation of strains and ensure compliance with chain-of-custody and seed-to-sale tracking requirements

• Assist in monitoring drying room conditions and support proper drying processes

• Record harvest metrics, including wet and dry flower weights, waste totals, and inventory data

• Prepare and manage harvested material inventories

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain harvest equipment and workspaces
• Collaborate with cultivation and environmental services teams to meet production targets

• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid government-issued photo identification

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures

• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy

• Ability to follow company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cannabis cultivation, harvest, trimming, greenhouse, nursery, agriculture, or plant-care experience

• Experience working in regulated manufacturing, agricultural, or production environments

• General plant knowledge or experience working with horticultural crops

• Passion for plant science and commercial cultivation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the workday
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and cooler temperatures
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Ability to climb ladders and work safely around cultivation equipment
• Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to plant materials, pollen, dust, odors, fertilizers, and varying indoor climate conditions

• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
