Job Title: Appointment Desk Scheduler – Full Time

Location: Glendale, CA

Specialty: Cardiovascular

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

EMR: Patient Chart Manager

Compensation: $23-$24 p/hour

Job Summary

The appointment desk scheduler will be required to also reschedule patients with a very busy cardiovascular medical group in Glendale, CA. It will require work with a high-volume patient load of up to 120-140 daily. Able to manage patient flow by scheduling, confirming, and coordinating complex cardiac procedures, consultations, and follow-ups.

Minimum Requirements

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
2. Experience of working in a very busy front office setting with front office functions
3. Familiarity with EMR systems (Patient Chart Manager would be nice)
4. Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls
5. High school diploma or equivalent required

1. Must have bilingual, English/Armenian skills and ability to communicate clearly
2. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a high-volume environment
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills
4. Ability to maintain accuracy while working under time constraints
5. Proficient with medical documentation and data entry
6. Team-oriented with the ability to support multiple providers

Essential Job Functions

1. Scheduling complex cardiology appointments including procedures (e.g., stress tests, echocardiograms), follow-ups, and surgeries, ensuring optimal provider workflow and managing the waitlist
2. Answer high volume of phone calls all day long
3. Support approximately 120-140 calls with patients per day across 4 multiple providers
4. Request and process prior authorizations and know eligibility
5. Be able to work with EMR system
