Loveable Web Developer

Compensation: Monthly retainer, based on experience A fast-moving marketing and communications company is hiring a Web Developer (Contractor) to update, maintain, and modernize a portfolio of owned websites. Candidates must have extensive hands-on Loveable experience and comfort across modern web stacks. This is a hands-on execution role. You will be in the code daily, shipping fixes, page updates, template changes, and site-wide improvements across multiple properties. This is not a strategy role — this person executes. The ideal candidate is highly responsive, self-directed, and willing to support business-critical needs outside traditional work hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends. Key Responsibilities Site Maintenance & Updates Update content, layouts, and templates across all owned websites Fix bugs, broken links, rendering issues, and legacy code debt Implement design updates and new pages on request Maintain version control, backups, and staging/production workflows Work within Loveable environments and workflows to support rapid deployment and iteration Work across additional stacks as needed (PHP/WordPress, static HTML, modern JS frameworks) Migrate or refactor legacy pages where appropriate Integrate with databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and third-party APIs Performance & Reliability Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, and uptime Implement and maintain redirects, canonical tags, and indexation rules Coordinate with hosting providers on server-level issues Implement security patches and dependency updates Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the SEO/GEO Manager to ship technical SEO requirements (schema, structured data, sitemaps, robots, page speed) Partner with content and design teams to launch new pages and campaigns Support marketing launches with fast turnaround times Be available, when needed, for urgent fixes or deployments outside standard business hours, including weekends Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of hands-on web development experience Extensive experience working with Loveable Comfortable in WordPress and at least one additional CMS SQL experience (SQL Server and/or MySQL) Git / version control fluency Ability to ship independently with minimal oversight Willingness to work flexible hours as business needs require, including evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications DevOps / hosting / CDN experience (Cloudflare, AWS, IIS, Apache) Familiarity with technical SEO requirements Experience with marketing-driven websites (landing pages, lead capture, tracking pixels) What Success Looks Like All owned sites stay current, fast, and bug-free Content and marketing requests ship within agreed turnaround times Technical SEO requirements are implemented cleanly and accurately Legacy technical debt is steadily reduced Critical updates and launches are supported reliably, including during off-hours when necessary #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
