Certified Medical Assistant - UHSP Tarboro Clinic Family Medicine

Position Summary Coordinates clinic operations and assists providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry, and medical records management. Provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Demonstrates skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history, and other tasks directed by clinicians. Possesses time‑management skills and can perform multiple tasks while assisting patients and providers as needed. Minimum Requirements American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification High School diploma or equivalent Board certification through AAMA, AMT, or NHA One of the Following Certifications is Required Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Career Association (NHA) + either 2 years of experience or graduation from an in‑person formal training program Preferred: One or more years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting. Other Information This is a PRN / as needed position with no benefits. Day shift: Monday through Friday, 8‑5 pm with one half‑day. 36 hours per week with one hour lunch break.
