Insurance Defense Attorney (Contract) | California Licensed | 100% Remote

Location: Remote (Must be licensed and have practiced in California)

\n

Duration: 6 plus Month Contract

\n

Hourly Pay rate: $85.00-$100.00 commensurate with experience

\n

\n

Our client, a respected litigation law firm, is seeking 10 experienced Insurance Defense Attorneys to join their team on a 6-plus-month contract engagement. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting a busy and growing practice with immediate needs.

\n

\n

This position is ideal for attorneys with strong litigation experience representing insurance carriers and handling complex defense matters from inception through resolution .

\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Draft pleadings, answers, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
\n
• Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and other parties
\n
• Analyze medical records, billing records, and employment documentation
\n
• Prepare case evaluations and litigation strategies
\n
• Communicate regularly with insurance carrier clients and provide status reports
\n
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
\n
• Manage cases through various stages of litigation
\n
• Appear for motion hearings and court proceedings when applicable ( if local to CA)
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Active California Bar license in good standing
\n
• Prior experience practicing law in California
\n
• 6+ years of Insurance Defense experience preferred
\n
• Strong background in one or more of the following areas: Auto Liability, Premises Liability, Professional Malpractice and Product Liability
\n
• Deposition experience
\n
• Motion practice experience
\n
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
\n
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a remote environment
\n
