Job Summary:Corporate EPC group Planning/scheduling expert, works with Planning groups across the enterprise business lines, helps coordinate management of the Planning & Performance Knowledge network website, provides guidance to projects on scheduling issues. Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems. Provides generally non-routine scheduling guidance and support to projects. The position is based full time in Houston, TX or Reston, VA.#LI-EH1Major Responsibilities:Actively engages in coordinating activities for the Planning & Performance Management Knowledge NetworkAssists conducting project cold eyes reviews and Planning process assessmentsProvides guidance to NDEU project controls central functions with development of analytical dashboardsCoordinates with Planning groups across all business lines/GBU’s on a frequent basis for discussions on procedures and brain storming sessionsCoordinates with software application vendors to provide feedback to senior managementEngages with other functions for innovation and information coordinationAssists teaching of scheduling classes as part of Corporate teamCoordinates Planning committee interface meetingsWorks with lead planners to coordinate information gathering and quality checks for Schedule MetricsProvides guidance to junior project controls personnel on best practices and general coaching on practices and proceduresWorks with other EPC functions to update scheduling proceduresProvides comments and recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control.Provides support to projects for schedule reviews and proposals schedulesProvides guidance and support to projects for conducting schedule contingency workshops, on an as needed basisEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in engineering discipline, business, construction management, or related field and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorshipAbility to travel up to 30% of the time, on an as needed basisAt least 10 years of Planning experience, including a significant portion as Field PlannerAt least 3-5 years as Lead Planner on projectDemonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision. This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, procurement, construction, and Start Up/Pre-commissioning practicesFamiliar with all Bechtel core Scheduling procedures and practicesStrong analytical skillsStrong report writing skillsAdvanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.High proficiency in use of Primavera P6Proficiency with use of Primavera Risk Analyzer (PRA)Ability to run schedule quality and health checks using Acumen Fuse and other applicationsBasic knowledge of Power BITotal Rewards/Benefits:For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
