Mechanized Welding Operator Level 2As a Mechanized Welding Operator Level 2 at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in our welding operations by efficiently operating mechanized welding equipment. You will report directly to our Welding Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Palmetto, FL location.In this role, you will work in an ASME pressure vessel shop, specializing in the fabrication of large heat exchangers used in natural gas liquefaction. Your expertise in specific welding processes, including Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), will ensure the production of high-quality welds, contributing to the overall success of our projects.This position requires training on 1st shift for an initial period.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain mechanized welding equipment to produce quality welds on various materials using Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as required.Conduct inspections and assessments of welds to ensure they meet quality standards, adjusting as necessary.Train and mentor junior welders on welding techniques and best practices.Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize welding operations and workflows.Relocation support may be providedYou Must Have3 years of relevant experience in mechanized welding processes, including Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).3 years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), GMAW on aluminum materialsProficiency in reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.Strong knowledge of AWS welding symbols.Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.We ValueTechnical certification in welding or a related field.Attention to detail and the ability to inspect work effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.Strong leadership and team management skills.Willingness to train and develop junior welders.Experience in pressure vessel manufacturing in compliance with ASME code.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Familiarity with using the metric system.Non-destructive testing (NDE) experience, such as penetrant testing.About Honeywell TechnologiesHoneywell Technologies is a global, pure-play automation company with a legacy of innovating to help solve the world's most mission-critical challenges, enhancing the quality of life for people and communities around the world.
