Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a PSC in Midlothian, VA. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm with rotating Saturday's 7:30am - noon. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Complete other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or 6 months’ of phlebotomy experience Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience) Additional Job Standards Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation Benefits Eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule eligible to receive all benefits except PTO or FTO Equal Opportunity Employer Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer: Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
