As a PennDOT CDL Operator Trainee, you will perform the following duties:Equipment Training: Train to operate heavy trucks and loaders while completing required checksTool Usage: Use motorized and non-motorized tools for tasks such as cutting, digging and repairingSafety Practices: Follow safety procedures and observe work areas to prevent hazardsField Tasks: Install and remove tire chains and operate various hand and foot controlsEnvironmental Duties: Support environmental protection requirements during maintenance activitiesInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Schedule varies seasonally, due to weather, and/or based on operational needs.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,347 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
