Material Handler 1

Warehouse PositionPosition ResponsibilitiesReceive and count stock items and turn in packaging slip to materials clerk with the accurate material count.Will unpack delivered goods and store in appropriate location until issue.Notify appropriate department when ordered item has arrived or deliver to appropriate department.Maintain inventory control by continuous tracking and inventory updates.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Will aid or direct to another stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.Qualification HighlightsMust have 5+ years of experience working in an industrial warehouse.Must have 2+ years' experience working for an industrial construction project in the warehouse or equivalent material handler positionMust possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positionsMust be able to meet all physical requirements.Must have reliable transportation.Other Duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust have 5+ years of experience working in a warehouse.Must have 2+ years of experience working on an industrial construction project in the warehouse or equivalent material handler positionMust have working knowledge of the basic processes and equipment used in industrial constructionMust be organized and can complete an accurate count of items received.Must have good communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively.Must be familiar with basic computer operations.Must be able to follow directions.Must be able to use tools such as hammers and drills to open crated materials received or to crate up materials that are scheduled to be shipped.Preferred Additional QualificationCurrent Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.Previous experience in this position with Zachry Industrial, Inc.Physical RequirementsEmployees will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.Will talk and hear to communicate.Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools.May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work from platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.ZACHRY provides a Safe and Drug-Free work environment and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
