CTR Group is seeking Shipfitters for our client, a Shipyard in Charleston, SC.

Pay Rate: $38 per Hour Plus $130 Per Diem for Non-Local Candidates.

SUMMARY:

The Shipfitter will perform the following tasks:

• The Shipfitter performs layout, fits, aligns, assembles prefabricated cast, forged components prior to welding, soldering, brazing, or bonding operations.
• Performs fitting, machining operations such as straighten, grind, burr, drill, ream, countersink materials to close tolerances.
• Refers to general instructions to select equipment, set up, lay out materials to be welded.
• The Shipfitter will repair, rework parts to restore required tolerances that has become distorted.
• May monitor, verify quality in accordance with statistical process and other control procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 3-5 years of Prior Shipyard Experience as a Shipfitter.
