School-Based Occupational Therapist

This full-time contract role offers a rewarding way to make a positive impact on K-12 students by providing occupational therapy services that help them thrive in and out of the classroom.
What We're Looking For:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license/certification for the state of Maryland
- Experience supporting school-aged children or adolescents, ideally in a school-based environment
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage and prioritize a dynamic caseload with compassion and professionalism
- Commitment to fostering independence and participation for students with diverse needs
Day-to-Day Expectations:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across K-12, with caseload details discussed in your interview
- Administer assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with district standards and federal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into school routines
- Consult regularly with parents and guardians, offering strategies for student success
- Participate in IEP and staff meetings, providing clear input on student needs and progress
- Maintain compliance and best practices for all documentation and state requirements
