General Reporter - The Lancaster News The Lancaster News, Lancaster, SC, an award-winning community newspaper is seeking a motivated General Reporter to join our newsroom. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about local storytelling and committed to keeping the community informed. Responsibilities include:
  • Covering local government, schools, business and community events
  • Writing clear, accurate and engaging news stories on deadline
  • Conducting interviews and developing sources and relationships
  • Attending evening meetings and occasional weekend assignments
  • Taking photographs
  • Contributing story ideas that reflect community interests
    • Qualifications:
    • Strong writing and editing skills
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
    • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
