Registered Nurse- Mental Health Care

The Maples is seeking a committed and skilled Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse located at our Hammond, Louisiana location. The position entails a shift from 7 am to 7 pm. (including but not limited to) At the Maples, The Licensed Nurse will focus on helping teenage girls who are struggling with their mental health, including trauma, disordered eating, and/or substance abuse. We are currently searching for compassionate nurses to work at our new residential treatment center facility in Hammond. Functioning as the Charge RN for their assigned shift, is responsible for providing the nursing care delivery system and supervising the clinical program during assigned shift. Assured that the nursing care provided remains compatible and reflects the ANA standards. Participates in the planning, coordinating and documenting total patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Accurately reports and records the patient’s condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change. Prepares clinical/progress notes daily and incorporates into the clinical record weekly, and documents monthly recertifications/Master Treatment Plan Updates in coordination with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Assists the patient with activities of daily living while teaching appropriate self-care techniques. Educates and supervises other healthcare personnel in providing continuity of care. Initiates and sustains the implementation of all physician orders. Must have Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of Louisiana. LPN Certification from an Accredited program.
