This position will also perform cleaning, painting, moving materials and equipment, event preparations, space allocations, workspace occupant services, and general grounds maintenance. Duties & Responsibilities Performs a variety of preventative maintenance of key facility infrastructure including buildings, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, elevators, drain lines, breakroom fixtures, and appliances. Ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintains the integrity of building systems and equipment by performing general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs, clearing of drain line blockages, and conducting general building repairs to doors, hardware, painting, furniture; oversees work performed by 3rd party vendors when repairs must be outsourced. Maintains organization of all maintenance-related areas of the facility including tools, equipment, storage areas, mechanical rooms, and rooftops. Prioritizes and responds to all campus-related service requests submitted through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Performs and documents regular inspections of facility function and systems. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Industrial, or Structural background. Construction or Facilities Management experience; mechanically inclined such as metalworking, creative solutions, etc. General experience repairing and maintaining electrical, plumbing, and HVAC fixtures. Basic carpentry, painting, and custodial skills. Good communicator. Skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving. Task-oriented and disciplined with using CMMS to drive prioritization and completion of assigned tasks. Customer service driven. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of work experience. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school. Work Environment Work environment will vary.
