Data Operations Developer

Who you are: We are looking for a Data Operations Developer who will develop scalable and reusable pipelines that minimize time from insight to production. The role involves varied projects across the business and requires passion for technology. What you'll do: Your key responsibilities include designing, building, and optimizing automated end‑to‑end data pipelines (ETL/ELT) while ensuring data quality and governance. You will implement project tasks, manage day‑to‑day activities, provide status reports to partners, and collaborate with product groups, data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders of internal business applications. How you'll make an impact: Design and build automated ETL/ELT processes using Apache Airflow, Google BigQuery, or data lakes. Automate repetitive tasks in Apache Airflow, such as data ingestion and quality checks, to improve efficiency. Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and reliability to handle growing data volumes. Create automated tests and validation rules to maintain data quality and compliance. Coordinate release management with development and operations teams using version control. Provide cross‑functional support and troubleshooting for data‑related issues. Participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotating schedule as required for pipeline reliability. What you'll bring to the role: 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role. 3–5 years of technical experience with SQL and building ETL/ELT pipelines in Python. Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and CI/CD tools such as GitLab runners. Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Big Data environments like BigQuery. Familiarity with the Linux command line, Jira for issue management, and Python package development is highly regarded. Highly organized, able to engage all levels of the organization, and adaptable to evolving technology trends. Continuous lawful residency in the United States for at least three years or eligibility for an exception. Ability to pass an enhanced background check, including drug screening and credit check.
